1d6 Magic Potion Ideas for D&D

Brothers and Sisters,

Let's wrap up a week of alchemy ideas with a list of 1d6 potions to brew up and reward your players with the next time they overcome a chemical-filled dungeon!

Let us pray.

I. INGESTING THIS POTION...

1;1 {Wyrm Palm} Infuses your strength with temporal magics, granting you the ability to tear and hold open holes in the fabric of reality with your bare hands {on a DC 16 STR check you open a temporary teleportation portal to a location you are familiar with that you can keep open by successfully repeating the STR check while standing inside the portal}.

1;2 {Twinge of Grasshopper} Transmutes your muscle tendons allowing them to harness your body's kinetic energy and convert it into elastic energy {you can jump up to your movement speed immediately after making a melee attack for the next minute}.

1;3 {Revenant's Essence} Floods your body with necrotized adrenaline glands that prevent you from receiving magical healing but keep your body functioning normally even after it has suffered a mortal wound {when reduced to 0 hp you do not fall unconscious but instead continue taking turns as normal and rolling death saves for the next minute or until you die}.

1;4 {Apothecary's Plight} Decomposes a random digit allowing the carbon-rich flesh to act as the soil from which a rare herb quickly sprouts {sacrificed digit is replaced with 1 use of any harvestable herb or similar plant life you are familiar with}.

1;5 {Catalyzing Thought} Rewires your central nervous system dampening pathways used for muscle function to greatly increase the speed and clarity which which thoughts are processed in your subconscious {for the next 1d12 hours all INT checks/saves you make are at advantage and receive a +10 bonus, but your STR and DEX modifiers change to -5}.

1;6 {Elder Speech} Creates a single telepathic link between you and all other creatures within 100 feet of you who simultaneously hear any thoughts you choose to project across them within the next minute {the telepathic strain this places on you causes your INT saves to be at disadvantage for the duration}.

And that'll do it for my week of hyper-fixating on alchemy in Dungeons and Dragons! Hope you've enjoyed the ideas, leave any of your own potion homebrews in the comments, and consider supporting the church {and getting a bunch of alchemy-themed terrain and maps for your vtt} by joining the Patreon!

xoxo,

Landon "Father Doom" Guss
